Car dealership offers free truck to veteran Taylor Winston who rescued Las Vegas victims

An Arizona car dealership has spent the past week trying to get in touch with a 29-year-old Iraq War veteran after he was recognized as a hero for seizing a truck to save critically injured victims during the Las Vegas shooting.

The B5 Motors dealership in Gilbert, Arizona, took to Facebook on Wednesday to ask the public for help to track down former Marine, Taylor Winston.

"Yesterday, we read of a vet, Taylor Winston, and the harrowing way he rescued dozens of Vegas victims," the post read. "According to reports, he stole a truck to quickly transport the injured to the hospital. We would like to find Taylor and thank him for his bravery by providing him a free truck from B5Motors. Please share and tag anyone that may know him."

Winston is being hailed as a hero for his courageous acts during the Las Vegas shooting that claimed 59 lives earlier this month and left more than 500 people wounded.

He was attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival with friends when shooter Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd from a hotel nearby.

Winston immediately sprang into action amid the spraying bullets and commandeered a pick-up truck to transport dozens of victims to the hospital.

"I saw a field with a bunch of white trucks," Winston said. "I tested my luck to see if any of them had keys in it, first one we tried opening had keys sitting right there. I started looking for people to take to the hospital. There was just too many and it was overwhelming how much blood was everywhere."

Winston said he saw "a lot of bravery and courageous people" during the attack.

According to a report from AZ Central, the dealership has since got in contact with Winston, who is scheduled to pick up a silver Ford F-150 on Monday.
