Cal Quantrill hit hard in Guardians loss to Orioles

Cal Quantrill had a rough night on the mound, and the Guardians lost 8-5 to the Orioles Tuesday night in Baltimore.

Quantrill was hit hard for eight earned runs in 4⅓ innings, ballooning his ERA to 5.61. The Orioles (35-20) scored seven of those eight runs in the first two innings and cruised for the rest of the night.

The Guardians (24-30) did chip away and at one point brought the potential tying run to the plate, but they couldn't close the gap. Josh Naylor and Josh Bell each drove in two runs.
