Caitlin Clark knocks off another prestigious individual accolade in win vs. West Virginia
Caitlin Clark has another record to add to her mantelpiece.
In Iowa’s 64-54 round of 32 win versus West Virginia, Clark dropped 32 points with all five of the Hawkeyes’ made 3-pointers. When it was time to close the victory, Clark knocked down all six of her free throw tries in the game’s final minute.
The 6-foot senior guard finished 11-of-12 from the charity stripe. Clark added eight rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
With her latest scoring output, though, Clark moved in front of Washington‘s Kelsey Plum again. Just like when Clark leapt past Plum on the all-time women’s Division I career scoring list, she’s moved past her again in record fashion.
With her 32 points against the Mountaineers, Clark usurped Plum for the NCAA Division I all-time single season scoring record. Clark now has 1,113 points on the season, overtaking Plum’s record number of 1,109 set during the 2016-17 season.

Clark can keep adding to that record tally if the Hawkeyes continue winning.
Iowa’s Sweet 16 date versus Colorado (24-9, 11-7 Pac-12) tips off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC on Saturday. The Hawkeyes and Buffaloes are squaring off in a rematch of last season’s Sweet 16.
Iowa won that contest 87-77 behind 31 points from Clark with four made 3-pointers. Graduate guard Kate Martin knocked down a pair of threes in that Iowa win over the Buffs and scored 16.
