Burroughs wins Manchester City Golf Championship

Sep. 4—Matthew Burroughs of Derryfield Country Club was the model of consistency on his way to winning the Manchester City Golf Championship.

Following a 71 in Saturday's first round at Manchester Country Club, Burroughs recorded rounds of 70 in both Round 2 Sunday (Derryfield Country Club) and Round 3 Monday (Intervale Country Club) for a three-round total of 211.

Derryfield CC had the top three finishers, with David Sherborne finishing second at 214 and Austin Fox placing third at 215.

Hoodkroft's Sam Maurice and Manchester CC's David Larivee tied for fourth at 217, Scott Underhill of Canterbury Woods was sixth at 218 and Ross Oberg of Stonebridge was seventh at 220.

Derryfield's Kyle Sullivan was eighth (221) and Kevin Webster of Intervale and Nate Stevens of Stonebridge tied for ninth at 223.
