Bulls' Lopez launches expletive-filled tirade after ejection

Bulls center Robin Lopez was ejected from Chicago's 103-92 loss at Miami on Thursday, and he launched into a verbal tirade directed at the officials.

With 8:43 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Bulls trailing the Heat 87-72, Lopez was called for an offensive foul and argued vehemently with officials before being issued a pair of technical fouls, leading to his immediate ejection.

As he walked off the court, he turned to vent some more at the refs.

"I was emotional. I had a life reaction," Lopez said later. "I felt I was never given the time to cool down. I was making my way towards the bench and I was hit with that second T right away. I was a little caught off guard. ... It's not something I'm particularly ashamed of. I play with passion. If I do something I feel is wrong, I apologize for it. If not, I'll stand by it."

In losing its third of the four games this season against Miami, Chicago dropped its seventh straight and fell to 9-29 on the road. The losing streak is currently the longest in the Eastern Conference.
