Bucyrus' Dennison, Wynford's Sheldon, CC's Holt named Special Mention All-Ohio in Div. III

COLUMBUS - Six of Crawford County's finest garnered statewide recognition for their efforts on the basketball court.

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association announced the Division III All-Ohio girls basketball teams Monday afternoon and the area was well represented by three talented seniors, one exceptional junior and two of the brightest young talents around.

Bucyrus senior Brook Dennison (12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 3.1 steals, 1.5 blocks, 40.3% FG, 75.6% FT, 36 3PM), Colonel Crawford junior Mira Holt (10.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.0 steals, 44.3% FG, 40.8% 3PT), and Wynford freshman Caroline Sheldon (12.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.6 steals, 40.2% FG, 70 3PM, 37.2% 3PT) were all named special mention.

Honorable mentions include Bucyrus senior Addison Kemery (9.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.0 steals), Colonel Crawford senior Allison Weithman (6.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 1.2 steals, 32 3PM), and Wynford freshman Brooke Frombaugh (10 points, 10.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.4 blocks, 48.1% FG).
