Bucky's Hoedown opens Bemidji State's homecoming with tailgating event
Sep. 30—BEMIDJI — A sea of green flooded Bemidji State University's campus on Saturday as Beaver fans gathered on the front lawn of Decker Hall for Bucky's Hoedown ahead of the homecoming football game.
As music played on a loudspeaker and the smell of hotdogs filled the air, Bucky's Hoedown provided attendees with a full game day experience from food trucks to raffle drawings as a way for BSU to thank the community for their support.
After the match-up between Bemidji State and Minnesota State, Beaver fans are invited to the evening's entertainment in downtown Bemidji with the annual street dance starting at 8:30 p.m.
Homecoming weekend will conclude at 3 p.m. on Sunday with the annual Carl O. Thompson Memorial Concert.
