Bryce Young reveals which song he performed at rookie talent show

We know that Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young broke out some Keyshia Cole and absolutely shined at the team’s annual rookie talent show earlier this week. But we didn’t know which song he did it with . . . until this morning.

The 2023 No. 1 overall pick joined NFL Network’s Colleen Wolfe and Steve Smith Sr. (sounds familiar) ahead of Saturday’s training camp practice at Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C. While he wouldn’t give Wolfe and Smith Sr. a little show of their own, Young closed out the interview by revealing that he sang Cole’s “Love” for his teammates on Wednesday night.

For those who are not familiar with the hit track . . .

Young’s rendition received rave reviews, with veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson stating the following on Thursday:

“He had a hell of a performance. I thought I was at a concert, to be honest with ya. Bryce had a hell of a performance.

“Everybody enjoyed it. He got into it. Tryin’ to tell ya, it was like a concert. He set the stage. He set the stage.”

He also got props from his left tackle Ikem Ekwonu, who said Young topped his showing from last summer’s event.

“I’d say so—because last year, they didn’t sing along with me,” Ekwonu replied when asked if Young’s performance was better. “They clapped it up though, I got a standing ovation. But we definitely sang along with Bryce. So I’ma give him the one-up on that one.”

So, it seems like the Panthers never knew what they were missing.
