Bronny James suffers cardiac arrest during USC basketball practice

The USC Trojans men’s basketball team has drawn a ton of eyeballs with Isaiah Collier and Bronny James entering this fall. Unfortunately, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest event during Monday’s practice and had to be taken to ICU, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Here’s part of the statement that was released from the James family: “Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him t the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.”

The incident took place at the Galen Center and emergency calls were made right away.

Last summer, talented freshman Vincent Iwuchukwu suffered cardiac arrest during practice as well, although he was miraculously able to return for the Trojans and ended up playing a key role down the stretch.

Bronny, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, enters the season as one of the biggest names to watch in college basketball. The return of Boogie Ellis also makes USC one of the best in the country

We will provide more updates on Bronny James as we receive them.
