Indianapolis Colts linebacker Ronnie Harrison made a position switch from strong safety this summer and has a chance to take some of the reps vacated by Shaquille Leonard's release.

The release of linebacker Shaquille Leonard opened a spot on the Indianapolis Colts active roster, and Ronnie Harrison has filled it.

Harrison, 26, played safety in his first five NFL seasons but signed with the Colts in August and has been on their practice squad this season, the team listing him as a linebacker in Tuesday's roster move.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In two seasons there, he had 103 tackles, 3 interceptions, 11 passes defended and 3 sacks.

He played for the Cleveland Browns from 2020-22, compiling 120 tackles with 2 interceptions, 12 passes defended and 2.5 sacks.
