Easton Storey pitched four no-hit innings Wednesday for ninth-ranked Brighton in a 5-2 baseball victory over Canton.

Storey had nine strikeouts and didn’t allow a walk, throwing strikes on 43 of 59 pitches. Luke Micunek pitched the final three innings.

Evan Larson hit a two-run homer, Ryan Metz was 3-for-4, Hunter Hopman drove in two runs and Jack Storey was 2-for-3 for the Bulldogs (14-5).

Brighton led 5-0 after four innings.

Talon Koppmann was 5-for-6 and drove in four runs in the doubleheader for Pinckney (7-9). He pitched all three innings in the second game, allowing one hit and fanning six.

Joey Downer struck out six batters in three innings in the first game.

Softball

Pinckney 16, Ann Arbor Huron 1

Pinckney (9-3) scored nine runs in the first inning of a game that lasted only three innings because of the mercy rule.

MacKenzie Burns and Ayla Wright homered for the Pirates, while Kylee Douglas was 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Canton 15, Brighton 0

Canton 13, Brighton 3

Sydney Scoggins hit a two-run homer in the second game for Brighton.

Soccer

Pinckney 2, Adrian 0

Pinckney took a huge step toward securing a third straight SEC White championship, knocking off second-place Adrian.

The Pirates are 7-0 in the division with three games left. Adrian and Tecumseh are 4-2 with four games remaining.

Zaryah Griffin scored one goal and set up a goal by Claire Denton.

The Pirates are 9-1 overall and ranked No. 10 in Division 2.

Boys lacrosse

Hartland 30, Belleville 0

Jake Lewis scored eight goals and three assists in a KLAA mismatch.

Drew Lockwood had six goals and two assists, Dylan Ayotte had five goals and one assist, Mac Tognetti set up eight goals, Gavin Preston had three goals and three assists, and Brett Bastionell had three goals.

Brighton 17, Northville 3

Connor Kammer had six goals and one assist, while Riley Conlen had two goals and seven assists for Brighton (11-3)

Girls lacrosse

Brighton 15, Northville 6

Georgia Gill had five goals and one assist, Cece Mainhardt had three goals and three assists, Ella Toth had two goals and three assists, and Sophia Heady and Lauren Zaccagni each had two goals and one assist for Brighton.

Golf

Northville 143, Brighton 146

Northville shot 1-under-par as a team, led by Ryan Gallagher's 2-under-par 34.

Brighton's Winston Lerch tied for second with a 35. Levi Pennala, Riley Morton and Andrew Daily shot 37s for Brighton.

Novi 152, Hartland 165

Hartland freshman Michael Maurin shot 39 to tie for third place. Brady Betteley was sixth with a 40 for the Eagles.
