Brian Allen day-to-day with MCL sprain, not ruled out for Week 14

The Rams only played one offensive snap on Sunday before center Brian Allen suffered a knee injury that knocked him out for the rest of the game. Coleman Shelton stepped in as his replacement, playing well against the Jaguars in the team’s 37-7 win.

Sean McVay didn’t have an update on Allen’s status after the game, but on Monday night, he had some good news. McVay told reporters that Allen suffered an MCL sprain and is considered day-to-day.

McVay isn’t even ruling him out for Week 14 against the Cardinals, which is the biggest game of the season for the Rams. Allen will have an extra day to recover with the game being played on Monday night.

Allen has started every game this season and has played well in his return to the starting lineup after missing 2020 with a knee injury that he suffered the year prior.

Against the 10-2 Cardinals, the Rams need all hands on deck and having Allen healthy will be critical.
