Brevard County high school state baseball champions
Cocoa High made the first appearance by a Brevard County team in an FHSAA state championship baseball game, in 1927 at Rollins College in Winter Park, falling to Orlando High, 4-2.
The Tigers returned for finals appearances in 1952 and '60, finishing as Class A runner-up to Lake Worth and Mulberry, respectively.

MCC played in Class B finals in 1967 and '70 under Charles Jenks. Ben Boyd's Mel High team played in the Class 2A championship in 1968.
It wasn't until the 1980s that a Brevard County high school won an FHSAA title in baseball.
1986 — Satellite High, FHSAA Class 3A baseball champions
The Scorpions beat St. Thomas Aquinas, 4-3 at UCF in Orlando. Satellite's coach was Pete Campbell.
1993 — Florida Air, FHSAA Class 2A baseball champions
FAA, currently Florida Prep, was the runner-up the year before and returned under coach Skip Lax to beat Cardinal Newman, 8-4, at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota.
1998 — Florida Air, FHSAA Class 3A baseball champions
The Falcons won again, this time under coach Wayne Tyson with a 3-2 victory over Gulliver Prep at Legends Field in Tampa.
1999 — Merritt Island, FHSAA Class 5A baseball champions
Coach Chuck Goldfarb guided the Mustangs past Venice, 6-4 at Legends Field in Tampa, in the same season FAA finished as 3A runner-up.
2000 — Merritt Island, FHSAA Class 5A baseball champions
The Mustangs and Goldfarb, on the same field, trailed by three runs going into the seventh inning but came back to win their second straight, 6-5, scoring the big run on a suicide squeeze to beat Sarasota.
2004 — Rockledge, FHSAA Class 4A baseball champions
The Raiders won their first title, coach Greg Clayborne's group beating Winter Haven, 11-7, in the tournament's last season at Legends Field.
2013 — MCC, FHSAA Class 3A baseball champions
Tom Dooley's first title, the Hustlers beat Providence in Ft. Myers at Jet Blue Park, 2-1.
2019 — MCC, FHSAA Class 5A baseball champions
Dooley and the Hustlers did it again, beating Cardinal Gibbons at Hammond Stadium in Ft. Myers, 6-3 in eight innings.
