Breaking: WR Curtis Samuel to sign with Washington on 3-year, $34.5 million deal

Washington Football fans can rejoice, they got the free-agent wide receiver that they’ve been wanting all off-season.

It was announced on Wednesday afternoon that the Washington Football Team was signing former Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel to a 3-year, $34.5 million contract. This will pair Samuel up with Terry McLaurin, creating a formidable WR combo that is now expecting to be catching passes from Ryan Fitzpatrick, another FA signing.

Samuel played under Ron Rivera in Carolina and also has knowledge about the offensive scheme that is run by OC Scott Turner. His quickness will do wonders on Washington’s offense, and the fact that he can play multiple positions and act as a runner will be huge as well.

Celebrate this signing, Washington fans. They got a great player on a solid contract.
