Braves announce more trophy tour stops

Jun. 9—More chances for Atlanta Braves fans to take a picture with the World Series trophy were announced recently.

Four of the new locations will be in or around Cobb County.

The first of the tour stops will be at noon June 17 inside the Truist Bank branch on Seven Hills Boulevard in Dallas. The Commissioner's Trophy will also travel to three T-Mobile locations in or close to Cobb County, the first of which at the East-West Connection location in Austell on July 1.

The trophy will be at the Windward Parkway T-Mobile store in Alpharetta on July 9 and the Barrett Parkway location in Marietta on July 10. Times for the stops at the T-Mobile locations have yet to be announced.

Other trophy tour dates near Cobb include the Georgia World Congress Center for the FinTech South Conference from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, and the Alive in Roswell festival from 5-9 p.m. Friday, the Mill on Etowah in Canton from 1-4 p.m. June 19, Alpharetta's Wills Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. July 9 and the Academy Sports store in Douglasville from 4-7 p.m. Aug. 25.

By the end of the tour, the Commissioner's Trophy will have made 151 total stops across the Southeast, commemorating the 151 years of the Braves' franchise.

DADS GET IN FREE AT COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL

The College Football Hall of Fame is celebrating Father's Day by offering free admission to fathers with purchase of a regularly priced ticket.

The first 100 fathers to take advantage of the offer June 19, will also receive a $25 gift card to Home Depot. Father's Day hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

In addition, the Hall of Fame will be extending its regular operating hours through Labor Day. It will be open six days a week, remaining closed Tuesdays.
