Brady Tkachuk gets into awesome dance battle with young fan during warmups

Are the Ottawa Senators currently last in the NHL standings? Yes.

Is rookie Brady Tkachuk making the best of it and ensuring fans still have a blast when they come to the rink? Definitely.

Ahead of his squad’s battle with the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday night, the 19-year-old got into an impromptu dance battle with a young Senators fan during warmups.

Although the epic clash wasn’t judged, you don’t need to be an expert to see that Tkachuk was defeated quite convincingly by his adversary.

Tkachuk may be one of the youngest players in the league, but even he isn’t very up to date with what the kids are up to.

‘Flossing’ has been a cultural phenomenon. Children all over the world have practiced and perfected the dance that actually requires a surprising amount of coordination.

Not afraid to admit when he has been defeated, Tkachuk gave the youngster a puck for his efforts.

That smile is priceless.

And although Tkachuk lost the dance competition and his Senators fell to the Flames 5-1 on Thursday, there is some good news for him.

With Ottawa out of the playoff picture, he’ll have plenty of time to practice his moves during the offseason.
