As Brad Keselowski NASCAR Cup losing streak nears three years is it a Ford problem?

If he wanted to, Brad Keselowski could dwell on the fact that Ford has not won a NASCAR Cup Series race this season.

Or, Keselowski could harp on the fact that he has gone winless in 105 races in the NASCAR Cup Series heading into Sunday's Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway.

He chooses to do neither.

"I haven't really thought that much about it," said Keselowski, 40. "... I'm focused on being in position to win. It's not really about looking back, but looking forward."

When was Brad Keselowski's last NASCAR Cup win?

Keselowski's last win came on April 25, 2021 at Talladega Superspeedway. The 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion was driving for Team Penske at the time.

Keselowski did not win in his last 26 races with Penske and hasn't won since since becoming a minority owner with RFK Racing at the start of the 2022 season.

He's been close. He finished third at Bristol this season, was fourth at Phoenix and eighth at Richmond last week.

But Keselowski has only led for a total of six laps in 2024 and half of those came in the Daytona 500, where his day ended early with an accident. He also crashed at Atlanta.

"We have not been as fast as we want to be," Keselowski said. "We want to have a shot at winning races with speed and we haven't had that yet. We've been kind of close at Daytona and some of those other places, but not enough to take control of a race and run away with it."

Ford is winless in NASCAR Cup Series in 2024 as Brad Keselowski's losing streak grows

Two of Keselowski's 35 career Cup victories came at Martinsville. He not only won, but dominated in 2019 when he led for 446 of 500 laps. He also won in 2017.

But Keselowski finished outside the top 20 in four of his last six trips to Martinsville including 33rd last fall.

Perhaps some of Keselowski's woes can be attributed to his manufacturer. Fords have been shut out this season. Chevrolet has accounted for four wins and Toyota has three victories.

"We'd like to have a little bit more speed," Keselowski said. "Our execution as a team has been really strong. We've made some progress (with Ford) for sure. We'll be really curious to see how we are through April and May (with Ford) when you kind of get into some of the steady part of the schedule. That will be a good chance for us to shine."

Keselowski's RFK Racing teammate Chris Buescher joined Keselowski in the top 10 at ninth last week.
