Boys basketball roundup: East Lansing, Laingsburg remain unbeaten
EAST LANSING 53, GRAND BLANC 38
The Trojans got big performances from their standouts while staying unbeaten with a nonleague win over Grand Blanc. Cam Hutson had 15 points and eight rebounds and JL Brandon finished with 14 points and five rebounds to lead East Lansing (8-0). KJ Torbert added 14 points for the Trojans.
LAINGSBURG 91, PLYMOUTH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 74
PLYMOUTH — Zander Woodruff had a game-high 38 points as Laingsburg picked up a nonleague win over Plymouth Christian Academy (3-7). Jackson Audretsch and Mitchell George each tacked on 10 points for Laingsburg (7-0). JV score: Laingsburg 73, Plymouth 63
MASON 61, ST. JOHNS 45
MASON — Cason Carswell led all scorers with 25 points to help guide the Bulldogs to a CAAC Red victory over St. Johns. Kaleb Parrish notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Luke Marlan dished out seven assists for Mason (7-2, 3-0). Bryce Pratl scored a team-high 20 points and Anthony Dupuis tacked on 11 points for the Redwings (5-6, 1-2). JV score: St. Johns d. Mason

PORTLAND 55, LAKEWOOD 35
PORTLAND — Evan Gross had a game-high 15 points to lead the Raiders to a CAAC White road win over Lakewood. Kayden Dickerson tacked on 12 points for Portland (6-1, 2-1). Troy Acker and Logan Faulkner each scored a team-high 13 points for the Vikings (1-8, 0-3).
HOLT 76, COLDWATER 55
HOLT — Donye Thomas had 17 points and eight rebounds and Carter Bishop finished with 16 points to lead the Rams in their nonleague win. Michael Aimery added 10 points for Holt.
OLIVET 61, IONIA 29
Bo Lincoln was among three players to score in double figures for the Eagles in their CAAC White win over Ionia. Lincoln had 20 points, seven assists and five rebounds, while Bryce Wine added 15 points for Olivet (6-3, 2-1). Tayven Feldpausch had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles. Colt Piercefield and Aden Wenzel had eight points for Ionia.
FOWLERVILLE 64, PINCKNEY 50
FOWLERVILLE — Wyatt Soli finished with 24 points to help the Gladiators pick up a nonleague win over Pinckney (1-7). Brendan Ray and Dillon Wieas each notched 15 points and Sam Shrader added eight points for Fowlerville (3-5).
STOCKBRIDGE 52, LESLIE 42
LESLIE — The Panthers had a 19-10 advantage in the third quarter on their way to a nonleague road victory over Leslie. Shannon Henderson scored a team-high 18 points and Zach Fletcher tallied 15 points for Stockbridge (7-3). Jayden Colby led all scorers with 28 points for the Blackhawks (2-7).
EATON RAPIDS 58, LANSING CATHOLIC 56
Drew Tolfree finished with a team-high 20 points for the Cougars as they came up short in a CAAC White home defeat to Eaton Rapids (5-3, 2-1). D.J. Rowley tallied 10 points and Brock Bigger chipped in eight points for Lansing Catholic (1-6, 0-3).

ALMA 63, ESSEXVILLE-GARBER 55
ESSEXVILLE — The Panthers hit 10 3-pointers in the opening half and never trailed on their way to a victory over Garber. Cade Sutherland made six 3s and had a game-high 21 points for Alma. Owen Seeley added 13 points and Sam Gadde had 10 points for the Panthers (6-3, 2-1).
