Boy yanks out tooth with slap-shot to impress Blackhawks (Video)
Children try to get noticed by their favorite hockey teams in a variety of ways. Sometimes it’s something as simple as asking for a glove-bump as they walk to the dressing room. Sometimes it’s asking a player to score so they can get a dog.
But Jackson Spears, as tweeted by his father Brian, has upped the ante – sacrificing his tooth for a chance to play with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Here he is, using the time-tested method of tying a string to a ball or puck, and then firing a slap-shot.

And it worked!
Obviously, the pressure is now on GM Stan Bowman to find room under the team’s tight salary cap ceiling to sign this young sniper for the rest of the season. Luckily, rookie contracts have limited maximums, depending on the bonus structure.
Hey, they already know he’ll sacrifice his body for the team. And he’s got the right smile for the NHL, right?
