Boston’s Robert Williams made unavailable in trade talks for Nets’ Kevin Durant

When disgruntled star Kevin Durant requested a trade he listed his preferred landing destinations, even though the Celtics were not one of the landing destinations they have offered the Nets the best trade package.

Now reports indicate that the Boston Celtics are not making Robert Williams available in a trade. According to NBC writer Kurt Helin, sources told NBC Sports that Williams was taken off the table.

According to insider NBA insider Ian Begley, Durant sees Boston as a viable destination.

“Durant sees Boston as a desired landing spot, per people familiar with the matter. Durant also would like to play with Boston’s Marcus Smart if he is traded to the Celtics, per people familiar with the matter. It is unknown if Boston and Brooklyn have made progress on a deal. SNY reported last week that there had been pessimism about a Durant trade being completed in the near future.”
