Boston Red Sox equipment truck unloaded at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. What's it hauling?
The Boston Red Sox equipment truck, packed with everything the team needs for its six-week stay for Spring Training in Fort Myers left Fenway Park Monday and was unpacked at JetBlue Park Thursday morning.
The celebration of Truck Day in Boston has been a Red Sox tradition since 2003, signaling the unofficial start of Spring Training. The truck was driven for the 27th straight year by Milford, Mass. native Al Hartz.

The Minnesota Twins' truck is also headed south this week from Minneapolis and will be unloaded in front of the Hammond Stadium ticket office at Gate 3 on Friday morning.
The contents of the 53-foot Red Sox truck include the following:
20,400 baseballs
1,100 bats
200 batting gloves
200 batting helmets
160 game jerseys
320 batting practice tops
300 pairs of pants
400 T-shirts
400 pairs of socks
20 cases of bubble gum
60 cases of sunflower seeds
