Can Boston’s Payton Pritchard keep up his current offensive explosion for the Celtics?

The Boston Celtics went 4-0 on their final West Coast road trip of the 2021-22 NBA season, and second-year combo guard Payton Pritchard is no small part of the reason, putting up the best numbers of his career over that stretch of games.

The West Linn, Oregon, native has improved his offensive contributions incrementally with each game played — first 10 points, then 14, 17 and 18.

Pritchard averaged 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and nearly a steal per game over 20.9 minutes per contest coming off the bench, and he has shot a sizzling 63.6% from the field overall and a nearly as absurd 61.5% from deep.

That is a pace that seems impossible to maintain even in the short term, but can Pritchard produce at a fairly consistent level closer to the realm of mortal basketball players?

The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “The Garden Report” dug into the former Oregon player’s recent play and just how sustainable it is — check out the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts.
