Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets: Injuries and likely starting lineups (2/14)

The Boston Celtics make the trip back to TD Garden to face the Brooklyn Nets for the back end of an away-and-home, back-to-back series matchup. And while no updated injury report had been released by the Celtics, with both teams having played the night before, there are a few interesting developments on the injury front.

For Boston, it is likely that Al Horford will sit after playing the first half of the back-to-back, and star big man Kristaps Porzingis, who sat out the first game between the Nets and Celtics with a lower back contusion, could play. We also expect that Boston’s new additions Xavier Tillman, Sr. and Jaden Springer, will sit again with left knee injury management and right ankle impingement, respectively.

As for the Nets, Dariq Whitehead will continue sitting with a left shin stress reaction with Ben Simmons joining him as out due to knee effusion. Interestingly, Brooklyn forward Cam Johnson is no longer on the injury report.
