Should the Boston Celtics bring back veteran big man Aron Baynes?

Should the Boston Celtics bring back veteran big man Aron Baynes? On one hand, the former Celtics center is familiar with much of the team and plays not only the position but style of play that Boston is in need of for the coming season. On the other, Baynes has not played any high-level basketball since a serious spinal injury at the 2020 Olympics, and the Celtics will need whatever solution they elect for their backup center role to play heavy minutes for them in the coming 2022-23 campaign.

What direction should the team take with Baynes? Should they wait out the market in case a better option shakes free? Or should they roll the dice with an old friend after a similar Celtics frontcourt reunion paid off in a major way?

The host of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast Evan Valenti debates this question with guest Brian Barrett of WEEI.
