Former Celtic Evan Turner wants Damian Lillard to join Jayson Tatum on the Celtics

Former Boston Celtics wing and assistant coach Evan Turner believes disgruntled star Damian Lillard leaving the Portland Trail Blazers organization is long overdue, and he supports Lillard’s request to be traded to the Miami Heat.

Turner fetes Lillard’s confidence as a player and his desire to have championship success after many years of trying to make it happen in Portland. The former Celtics assistant argued players need to prioritize their best interests and make decisions about their careers accordingly. And while he knows the Blazers star will likely end up elsewhere, he can’t help admitting his interest in seeing Lillard team with Jayson Tatum on the Celtics.
