Youth hockey team wins tournament after performing Whip / Nae Nae dance (Video)

Some teams like to do a little group stretching before they hit the ice as a warmup. Others might do a bit of cardio to get the heart and blood going. But the 9-year old Jr. Hurricanes Squirt AA team mixed it up this past week at the Columbus Day Classic tournament in Georgia.

To get loose, these little hockey players busted out the Whip and Nae Nae, as this video via Scott Sparks shows:

The Jr. Hurricanes played stingy defense, only allowing six goals over four games. After a late goal gave them a 4-3 win in Game 1, they fought back from a two-goal deficit to earn a tie in Game 2. A 4-0 win in Game 3 set the Lil Canes up for a championship match against the Atlanta Fire, who they tied in Game 2.

Powered by the Whip/Nae Nae, the Jr. Hurricanes won the tournament after a 6-1 victory, which according to their team page is their first championship together.

The tournament victory should come as no surprise to anyone given how in-synch those kids were.
