The Alabama coach donned the top part of the elephant costume to wish ESPN College GameDay host Lee Corso a happy birthday. Corso turned 80 on Friday.

We're not going to say we never expected Nick Saban to wear at least part of Alabama's mascot costume because it's something we never thought about. But we were surprised to see the GIF.

If you're wondering why Saban used the costume to wish Corso a happy birthday, Corso routinely uses mascot props (sometimes the head of a costume) to make his prediction of the game that GameDay is attending on a given week.

The 2015 season will be Corso's 29th on GameDay. He's been on the show for its entirety.
