Miami accidentally tweets out '#BeatMiami' ahead of Florida State game
As Miami prepared for tonight’s clash against rival Florida State, it sent out a tweet trying to hype up its fans.
Unfortunately, it turned into a pretty epic fail.
Instead of hashtagging the post “#BeatFSU” the unfortunate social media worker at Miami used the hashtag “#BeatMiami.”
An innocent mistake to be sure, but we all know as soon as something appears on the Internet it’s there forever. Still, Miami tried to pluck its blunder from Twitter before anyone saw it, but it was too late. One enterprising Twitter feed, @AllKindsWeather, grabbed the screenshot and now Miami has been shamed.
Miami can only hope that the Twitter gaffe doesn’t actually come to fruition. If Miami does win, perhaps this gaffe can be looked at as a reverse jinx or something.
