Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will enter the 2014 NFL draft
The speculation is finally over. Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will forego his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL draft. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Brett McMurphy and later confirmed by Louisville SID Rocco Gasparro.

Bridgewater, who graduated last month with a degree in sports administration, is considered to be one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft. He has been projected as the No. 1 pick in many mock drafts and could be a potential target for new Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien.
The junior threw for 447 yards and led Louisville to a 36-9 victory over Miami in the Russell Athletic Bowl Saturday, then returned home to discuss the decision with family and friends.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Bridgewater was 28-8 as the starter at Louisville and threw for 3,970 yards and 31 touchdowns this season.
