Josh Allen pregame speech: 'Best group in the (expletive) world'

Josh Allen gave a pep talk before leading his offense onto the field.

"Best group in the (expletive) world. Better believe that (expletive), too. I'm serious. Best group in the (expletive) world. Let's go out there, (expletive) prove it and let's play for each other. Win on three. One. Two. Three. Win!"

Four of five on Monday Night Countdown predict Jets will win

The Aaron Rodgers hype is real. Analysts Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, Robert Griffin III and Alex Smith all picked the Jets to win in the pregame show. Host Scott Van Pelt was the only member of Monday Night Countdown who predicted the Bills will win.

Damar Hamlin among Bills inactives

ABC and ESPN probably aren't thrilled, but Damar Hamlin will be inactive for the game. So will cornerback Kaiir Elam, defensive lineman Kingsley Jonathan, and offensive linemen Alec Anderson and Germain Ifedi.

The Jets will be without defense end Carl Lawson, who was not on the final injury report. WR Jason Brownlee, WR Irvin Charles, RB Israel Abanikanda, and OL Max Mitchell with join Lawson on New York's inactive list.

Hamlin is obviously a big story given what he went through last January when he nearly died on the field in Cincinnati the last time Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and the ABC-ESPN broadcast crew had the Bills on Monday night.

Throughout the summer, Hamlin kept clearing obstacles - first practice, first contact practice, first preseason game - but the reality remains that he’s still a player near the bottom of the Bills’ 53-man roster. Barring injuries to other safeties, he will be competing for playing time each week with Cam Lewis as the fourth active safety behind Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and Taylor Rapp.

Monday, Lewis gets the call because as he always has been during his time in Buffalo, he’s a core special teams player.

Dangerous weather has moved into north Jersey

The gates at MetLife Stadium have opened and fans are being allowed into the seating bowl after dangerous weather moved through the area.

It poured for about a half hour with thunder and lightning so no one was allowed in and players and team personnel could not take the field. The all-clear was given at 6:45 and the rain has stopped.

Now, at 7:20 p.m., the skies have turned almost pitch black and there is still a distinct possibility of more heavy rain and it's possible that it could affect the early part of the game.

Imagine that, weather impacting a Bills game.
