Bills at Eagles: Key matchups to watch in Week 12

The Buffalo Bills will visit the Philadelphia Eagles in their upcoming Week 12 matchup at Lincoln Financial Field.

The two teams have been rigorously preparing for the contest throughout the past week. Buffalo (6-5) and Philadelphia (9-1) will think they know their upcoming opponent, inside and out, after all the practicing and studying they have put in.

Because of that, despite all the off-field talking, speculation and discussion, it will still be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference when it comes to the final outcome of this upcoming weekend.

With that, here are three key matchups to watch during Sunday’s Bills-Eagles matchup:

TE Dalton Kincaid vs. LB Nicholas Morrow

The Eagles are banged up at linebacker but Morrow has taken advantage of some increased playing time. Pro Football Focus grades him as the NFL’s 12th best linebacker currently and his coverage grade of 76.8 is a solid mark.

Philadelphia hasn’t allowed a ton of catches or yards to tight ends this season… but they’ve allowed them to score. They lead the NFL with six touchdowns allowed to opposing tight ends… just as Kincaid is starting to heat up.

Douglas has become an instant hit in the Bills secondary. Facing the Eagles, his first NFL team, will bring up some emotions for him on Sunday.

But Douglas really will be relied upon. The Bills have a few questionables in their secondary, namely Dane Jackson (head) and Taron Johnson (head).

With both of those cornerbacks banged up, even if they do play, Douglas will need to hold down his opponent. It’s probably going to be Brown more times than not and he’s entering Week 12 with the second-most receiving yards in the league.

DT Ed Oliver vs. OL Jason Kelce

Kelce’s name is popular in headlines lately… and not just because of his brother’s dating life. In his own right, Kelce is having a fantastic season. He’s PFF’s top-graded center through 11 games.

Oliver has had a strong year and the rest of the Bills defensive line is playing well… but if Oliver can win this matchup, it would be a massive bonus.
