Bills’ Damar Hamlin talks about his first padded practice since cardiac arrest (video)

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is fully back in action for the first time since his unthinkable cardiac arrest incident against the Cincinnati Bengals last December.

On Monday, the Bills took the practice field at St. John Fisher University for their fifth practice of training camp. NFL and NFLPA agreements only allow for a certain number of practices in full pads with hitting; this workout was the first time all summer the team took part in such a session.

Hamlin was spotted saying a prayer on the field before the workout started. Eventually, Hamlin took his first bumps from other football players since he was facing the Cincinnati Bengals.

How’d it go?

Hamlin called it a “roller coaster of emotions.”
