Bills CB Rasul Douglas named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Rasul Douglas took it away against the New England Patriots. Now he’s taken way some hardware.

Douglas has been named the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Buffalo Bills’ 27-21 win over the Patriots in Week 17:

Douglas recorded two interceptions against New England en route to the win. One of them went down as a pick-six touchdown. Douglas was the first Bill to do that in an outing since Nickell Robey-Coleman in October 2016.

The last time a Buffalo cornerback took home the DPOTW honor was Tre’Davious White in 2019. In Week 3 of this season, linebacker Terrel Bernard took home the honor. The last overall weekly winner was running back James Cook who took home the offense award in Week 16.
