Big Bend Best: Vote for the Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week for April 29 - May 4

The polls are open for another edition of the Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week poll.

After another week of thrilling playoff action in the Big Bend, this week's nominations stood out for their respective programs when the lights were shining brighter.

We have seven nominations this week for Athlete of the Week honors, so who will take home the crown?

Coaches, players, family and friends, be sure to share this poll and vote for who you think should win.

The poll closes Thursday at 12 p.m. and results will be announced Friday at noon.

Coaches and athletic directors, if you think a player(s) should be nominated, please send their name and weekly stats to lrooney@gannett.com by Sunday afternoon.

Will McDonald, Chiles baseball

Stats: Went 2-for-3, with an RBI and home run, while throwing seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out 10 in 3-0 district semifinal win over Crestview. Went 2-for-3, with 3 RBI and a homerun in 5-1 district title game win over Mosley.

Myles Bailey, Lincoln baseball

Stats: Went 1-for-3, with two RBI and one home run in 10-4 district semifinal win over Rickards. Went 2-for-3, with an RBI, triple and a home run in 2-0 district title win over Columbia.

Noah Miller, North Florida Christian baseball

Stats: Went 1-for-2, with two RBI, while throwing two scoreless innings, allowing no hits and striking out four in 10-0 district semifinal win over FAMU DRS. Went 2-for-3, with two RBI and a home run in 15-0 win over St. John Paul II in district title game.

Mason Plain, Madison County baseball

Stats: Went 2-for-4, with two RBI in a 10-0 district semifinal win over Wakulla Christian. Threw six innings, striking out five batters and allowing one run and five hits in 3-1 district title win over Liberty county.

Amanda Thompson, St. John Paul II

Stats: Threw six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out 13 batters in 11-0 district semifinal win over FAMU DRS. Went 1-for-1, with an RBI, while throwing seven innings, allowing four hits and striking out 13 in 4-3 district title win over NFC.

Emma Vickers, Aucilla Christian softball

Stats: Threw seven innings, allowing four hits and striking out 13 batters in 5-2 win over Hilliard in district semifinals. Threw seven innings, allowing five hits and striking out 15 batters in 6-5 district title win over Madison County.

Charley Butler, Wakulla Softball

Stats: Threw seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out 15 batters in 3-0 district semifinal win over South Walton. Threw seven innings, allowing five hits and striking out eight batters in 8-2 district title win over West Florida.
