Big 8 Conference announces addition of Stockbridge beginning in 202-25
The Big 8 Conference announced on Monday that Stockbridge Community Schools will join the conference beginning in the 2024-25 school year.
“The Stockbridge Panthers will push the number of league schools to 8 once again for the Big 8. Stockbridge brings a rich tradition of good athletics, sportsmanship, and top-notch facilities. The conference and its members are excited and looking forward to working with Stockbridge,” said a press release by the Big 8 conference.
Stockbridge completes the replacement of the pair of teams that left in 2023-24, as Homer and Jonesville left the Big 8 to join the Cascade Conference.
Stockbridge brings to the Big 8 Conference an 11-player football program, both boys' and girls' basketball, boys and girls track, volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling, and boys and girls soccer.

Stockbridge joins Maple Valley as the two newest members of the Big 8 Conference and will complete the full list of teams beginning next year.
