Big 4th inning gives Jacksonville Baseball 7-2 win over Tyler High

Feb. 25—Three Indians had a multi-hit game Saturday at Summers Norman Field when Jacksonville closed the book on the Howard Estes Tournament by downing Tyler High, 7-2.

The win was the Indians' second-straight.

Ryan Walker stroked a double and drove in a run as a part of a 2-3 day at the plate.

Hayden Thompson and Max Briley each went 2-4 at the dish, with Thompson blasting a double.

Coen Devillier came up with an RBI triple and Giancarlo Rico smacked a base hit and drove in a run.

Hunter Vance got the win on the hump for the Indians. He worked five innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. Vance rang up five Lions and didn't walk a batter.

Devillier pitched the last two frames for Jacksonville. He gave up one run (earned) on one hit, struck out three and walked one.

Jacksonville (2-3) will battle Mabank at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Grand Saline Tournament.
