Bengals WR Tee Higgins suffers concussion, ruled out vs. Steelers

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins left his team’s season-opening tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers with what appeared to be a concussion.

Higgins made a catch over the middle and found himself sandwiched between three Steelers defenders, taking a blow to the head before going to the ground.

Initially ruled as questionable as he went to the locker room for further testing, Higgins was ruled out by the beginning of halftime.

In the short term, names like Mike Thomas will step into the fray at wideout alongside Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.

Over the long-term, Higgins will have to clear concussion protocols before he can begin practicing again before Cincinnati’s Week 2 road game against the Dallas Cowboys.
