Bengals: More details about the new turf coming to Paycor Stadium

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Paycor Stadium will have new turf installed this offseason.

But other than the partnership with FieldTurf, few details went out.

As it turns out, the Hamilton County Commissioners approved the project, which is a reunion with FieldTurf, which also served as the surface from 2004-2011.

“We are honored to return to Cincinnati, renewing a vastly successful partnership,” Eric Daliere, President – Tarkett North America & Tarkett Sports said, via press release. “This project highlights FieldTurf’s unwavering dedication to delivering superior performance and innovation at the highest level. With regional offices in Ohio, our local and national teams are thrilled to once again be the surface of choice for such a storied franchise.”

What might interest fans and locals more is the financial side of the move, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway and Sharon Coolidge:

That $39 million, as noted recently by the removal of seats from Paycor Stadium, is part of a bigger, approved renovations package.
