Bemidji plays Roseau tight again, late goal lifts Rams to win

Dec. 21—ROSEAU — The Bemidji High School girls hockey team has found itself on the wrong end of two evenly-matched games against Roseau.

After suffering a 3-2 loss against the Rams on Nov. 21 at the Bemidji Community Arena, the Lumberjacks lost 4-3 on the road against Roseau on Thursday night.

BHS trailed 3-2 in the third period before Bailey Rupp tied the game with six minutes left. But with under three minutes remaining, Sam Peterson buried the game-winner for Roseau.

Megan Berg gave Bemidji a 1-0 lead in the first period before Ella Ketring scored twice before the intermission for Roseau. Payton Remick made it 3-1 in the second period before Rupp got one back. Rupp's tying goal was her second on the power play with assists from Emma Greiner and Tahliya Little.

Payton Weidemann made 19 saves for Bemidji (6-7). Madi Lisell stopped 22 shots for the Rams (7-6).
