Bemidji High School to host Unified Basketball Game against Menahga
Jan. 25—BEMIDJI — Bemidji and Menahga High Schools are coming together to play in a Unified basketball game once again.
On Wednesday, Feb. 7, the BHS Gymnasium will host the Unified programs for the second consecutive winter. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free will donation to attend. Donors who give $5 or more have a chance to win Apple AirPods.
Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: Training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability.
