Beavers pick up 3rd NSIC win in 4 games with dominant 2nd half at UMC

Feb. 8—CROOKSTON — The Bemidji State women's basketball team continues to rack up wins late in the season.

The Beavers picked up their third victory in four games on Thursday in Crookston, toppling Minnesota Crookston 87-70 behind a huge second half.

BSU (6-16, 3-15 NSIC) was tied 36-36 with the Golden Eagles (9-14, 6-11 NSIC) at the half, but Bemidji State surged ahead in the second half. The Beavers led by six after the third quarter and blitzed UMC by 11 in the final frame to seal the triumph.

Alyssa Hill paced all scorers with 28 points for BSU. She was assisted by Amme Sheforgen with 17 and Rachel Koenig with 10.

Emma Miller led UMC with 27 points, supplemented by Hope Dudycha's 15.
