Battle 4 Atlantis: Gonzaga defeats Lady Vols
No. 23 Tennessee (2-4) lost its second consecutive game Monday.
Gonzaga defeated the Lady Vols, 73-72, in a third-place game in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis at Imperial Arena in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
The game featured 15 lead changes and nine ties.
Yvonne Ejim led Gonzaga with 22 points. Ejim scored 20 points after halftime.
Kaylynne Truong scored 14 points and recorded six assists for Gonzaga.
The Lady Vols led, 36-30, at halftime.
Jordan Horston led Tennessee with 19 points. Rickea Jackson scored 16 points and Jasmine Franklin finished with 11. Franklin recorded nine rebounds in the contest.
Jasmine Powell and Tamari Key each scored seven points for the Lady Vols. Powell recorded four assists.
