Bartlesville softball warriors hammer pair of foes
Bartlesville High School’s slowpitch softball team unleashed a blistering hitting attack to squish the fight out of two foes like a stepped-on tube of toothpaste.
The Lady Bruins (3-1) also recorded their first twin-bill sweep — hosted by Pryor — of the season.
In the first game, Bartlesville burst out to an 8-0 lead in the top of the first and outlasted Pryor, 8-0.
Allie Scullawl, Savannah Alden and Lexi Durao each homered and Scullawl hurled a four-hitter in the 8-0 win against Tulsa Union in the nightcap.

BARTLESVILLE 8, UNION 0: Scullawl didn’t allow a walk as pitcher. Offensively, she doubled, homered and drove in two runs. Alden added two RBIs followed by Durao with one. Chelsea Goddard and Maddie Czaja each contributed a double. Scullawl, Durao, Goddard, Kenzie Denny and Madie Nachbor lashed two hits apiece.
BARTLESVILLE 7, PRYOR 8: Pryor closed to within three runs, 8-5, but Bartlesville added three runs in the top of the fourth to secure the victory. Scullawl pitched the distance and gave up only one walk — albeit also surrendered three dingers — to nail down the win with 102 pitches. Durao smacked two homers and drove in three runs. Isabell Daniels and Lola Redington each added a double and homer and three RBIs. Scullawl doubled to round out Bartlesville’s seven extra-base missiles. Scullawl, Goddard and Denny plated one run apiece. Nachbor and Karmandy Marsheck both saw time at catcher.
