Barr wins conference honors

Mar. 13—MORRISTOWN — Former Lebanon High basketball standout Asia Barr has been named TCCAA Player and Offensive Player of the Year, it was announced Sunday.

The Walters State Community College sophomore was also named first-team All-TCCAA.

Barr earned her honors after averaging 15.7 points per game. She finished fourth in the country in 3-pointers made, draining 90 treys on the season. Barr broke the Walters State school record for 3-pointers in a game twice during the season, the most recent being 13 against Roane State. She also averaged five assists and three rebounds per game. Barr scored over 20 points in seven games this season, including 39 against Roane State and 30 against Volunteer State.

She has maintained her pace in the postseason as she sank six 3-pointers in a 21-point conference semifinal performance Monday.
