Auburn trending for in-state offensive tackle Reese Baker

Hugh Freeze has kicked Auburn’s recruiting into high-gear since he arrived on the Plains.

The Tigers signed a top-20 class last year and they have put together one of the best transfer classes in the country that addressed their immediate needs at quarterback and along the offensive line.

While having success in the portal is critical, programs are still built through high school recruiting and the Tigers are off to a strong start in the 2024 cycle, with five commitments including four from four-star prospects.

They may be close to picking up their sixth commitment as they are now the favorite for in-state offensive tackle Reese Baker after Auburn Undercover’s Christian Clemente put a crystal ball in for Auburn to land him.

The 6-foot-5 and 275-pounder is currently unranked in the 247Sports Composite but was in attendance for Auburn’s Elite Camp on Monday and Clemente called him “one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the whole camp.”

That trip was the Madison, Alabama product’s third visit to Auburn, more than he has visited any other school.
