Auburn Tiger Snapshot Profile: No. 39 Dylan Brooks

Going into the 2022 football season, Auburn Wire will be looking at each scholarship player listed on the Tigers’ roster.

Over the preseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for Bryan Harsin this season.

Up next is edge rusher Dylan Brooks. Brooks is entering his redshirt freshman season with a chance to make a big impact. He is one of just four scholarship players at the edge position and is set to have a role after not seeing the field last season.

Depth Chart Overview

Despite entering as Auburn’s highest rated signee in the 2021 class Brooks did not see the field last season. That is not a negative on him due to upperclassmen he was behind.

The depth at edge has been depleted this offseason as Brooks, Hall, Leota, and newcomer Marcus Bragg are the only scholarship edge rushers left. With Auburn liking to have multiple edge players on the field, that depth will be tested.

Brooks has benefitted from spending more time in a college program and has added more strength to his impressive frame. He will look to combine that strength with his quickness as he disrupt the opposing line.

He will certainly see more action this season and will have a chance to learn from Hall and Leota as he learns from Auburn’s two veterans.
