Auburn football’s opening day quarterbacks from the last 20 years
Bo Nix is the favorite to be the Auburn starter but the conversation around the topic continues as the offense struggles during fall camp.
Nix started in 2020 and 2019, but I thought it would be fun to look back at the previous 18 years and remember who started for those teams.
It’s fun to remember those who won the battle for QB1 several years in a row. It seemed to happen more during the Tommy Tuberville era than during the Gus Malzahn era.
Let’s take a look at the last 20 years worth of opening day starters on the Plains.
