New Hanover's Sean Smith named StarNews Athlete of the Week
Bringing in more than 50% of this week's fan vote, New Hanover baseball player Sean Smith is the StarNews Athlete of the Week.
Smith threw 14 strikeouts as New Hanover defeated Laney 7-0 last Tuesday. The senior has been one of the area's best pitchers this spring and has helped the Wildcats to a first place position in the Mideastern Conference.
