Arkansas Football set to play one of nation’s toughest schedules

Cake and ice cream, peanut butter and jelly, Arkansas football and tough schedules.. all things that just seem to complement one another.

That will remain the case this fall, as Arkansas is set to take on one of the nation’s top schedules according to College Football expert, Phil Steele.

In his annual preseason magazine, Steele says that the weekly grind of playing in the SEC, plus facing a College Football Playoff participant in Cincinnati is a slate that head coach sam pittman should be used to by now.

Sam Pittman has to be tired of seeing this, though he’s used to it by now heading into his third season at Arkansas. Facing the nation’s toughest slate each of the past two seasons, the Razorbacks will again endure week-to-week brutality in the black-and-blue division of the SEC along with opening against Cincinnati, a team that hasn’t lost a regular-season game since 2019. If Arkansas takes care of home field the first two weeks against the Bearcats and South Carolina, that Week 4 matchup versus Texas A&M that precedes the Alabama game should be a contest between unbeaten top 10s in Arlington.

Where does Arkansas’ tough schedule rank among the nation’s hardest? Here are the top 10 rankings of the nation’s most challenging schedules according to Phil Steele:
