Arkansas football live score updates: Hogs host annual spring game

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas football will get its best evaluation of the spring today in the annual Red-White Game inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The Razorbacks wrap up their spring practices with a showcase event. Fans will get the opportunity to see Bobby Petrino's offense being run by transfer quarterback Taylen Green.

However, there are other key storylines to monitor. Linebacker, offensive line and wide receiver remain positions with question marks at the conclusion of the spring. Head coach Sam Pittman has expressed optimism in how all three units are developing.

Kickoff is set for noon and available to stream on SECN+. Fans can tune in via the ESPN app and FUBO, which offers a free trial to potential subscribers. Justin Kutcher and Dan Mullen are on the call.

Arkansas football spring game: live updates

Second Half

  • With a running clock, the second half sprinted toward the finish line. Red defeats White 38-12, and that's the final from Arkansas football's spring.

  • The White team is on the board after a 32-yard touchdown run by Braylen Russell. The freshman did a good job breaking tackles and keeping his balance on the score. Red leads White 32-6.

  • There will be no quarters after halftime, with the teams playing until 2 p.m. The starters are also done for the day.

Second Quarter

  • It's halftime, with the first-stringers putting together an impressive performance and the Red team holding a 32-0 lead over White. Taylen Green was 17-for-22 with 243 yards and 3 touchdowns.

  • The Red team marches down the field in a two-minute drill situation, taking just one minute to score on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Taylen Green to Ja'Quinden Jackson. Red leads white 32-0 with 1:06 remaining in the half.

  • Ja'Quinden Jackson scores his second touchdown of the game, this time from four yards out, and the Red leads White 26-0 with 5:46 remaining in the first half. Jackson now has 68 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

  • The White defense gets a stop for the first time, with a sack by Lorando Johnson putting the Red offense well behind the chains. Good to se the second-string defense come to life a bit.

  • The Red team scores another touchdown and misses the corresponding field goal, so it's 19-0 with 13:51 remaining in the second period. Ja'Quinden Jackson punched it in on an 8-yard run after having a 27-yard carry earlier in the drive.

First Quarter

  • The first quarter ends with another short drive for the White team. Malachi Singleton did have a nice completion to Dazmin James, but that's been the only real success against the first-team defense. Red leads White 13-0.

  • It's another touchdown drive for the Red team, with Taylen Green finding Andrew Armstrong on a 20-yard pass down the left sideline. Arkansas is kicking field goals instead of extra points after touchdowns, and this one was missed, so the Red leads White 13-0 with 2:38 remaining in the first quarter.

  • Nothing going for the White team on its first drive, as the first-team defense forces a three-and-out.

  • Malachi Singleton is the starter for the White team. Looks like he has the inside track on the backup position.

  • The Red team marches down the field and scores on its first drive. Taylen Green finds Tyrone Broden in the end zone for a 10-yard score, capping off an 11-play, 77-yard drive. Green was 4-for-4 for 37 yards on the drive, and the Red leads 7-0.

Pregame

  • The rosters are about as expected, but one notable surprise is Lorando Johnson's place on the White. Johnson was a starter throughout 2023, but Tennessee transfer Doneiko Slaughter is sliding in with the first-team in Red this afternoon.

  • Sam Pittman said earlier this week that the Red team will be the starters, with the second-team playing for the White. Pittman envisions the starters playing just one half, with the third-team coming in for the red after halftime.

  • Good morning from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. It is a warm and beautiful day in Fayetteville as the Razorbacks are set to close out their spring with the annual Red-White Game.
